When Thoma first joined me, he was running around 11 seconds for 70 metres. From the beginning, we shared one clear vision: to unlock his potential and guide him toward becoming a confident, technically sound, and competitive young sprinter. We set an ambitious but achievable target — bringing that 11-second run down to 10.5 seconds by the end of the new season.
What has made this journey special is not just the numbers but the mindset. Thoma embraced every drill, correction, and challenge with maturity well beyond his age. His dedication, consistency, and willingness to learn have been the driving forces behind his progress. As a coach, watching an athlete buy into the process is one of the most rewarding experiences, and Thoma represents exactly that.
With the new season approaching, he has set even bigger goals, and the excitement around his development continues to grow. Thoma’s PBs are improving, his technique is sharper, and his confidence is rising session by session. Being part of his athletic journey is a privilege, and I’m looking forward to guiding him through another year of growth, speed, and breakthrough performances.
This is only the beginning for him — and I’m proud to be beside him every step of the way.
