Building Faster, Stronger and More Confident Young Athletes Across Sydney!

What an incredible school holiday it has been at Next Gen Sprints!

Across our September–October 2026 Speed & Agility Holiday Camp, we welcomed more than 50 enthusiastic young athletes, all bringing their energy, determination and excitement to the track.

Our mission was simple: help every child become faster, stronger, more coordinated and better prepared for the upcoming school term and sporting season - while making sure they had an amazing holiday experience!

And that's exactly what we set out to deliver.

More Than Just Running — Building Better Athletes

At Next Gen Sprints, we believe speed isn't simply about running harder. It's about learning how to move efficiently, confidently and explosively.

Throughout the camp, our athletes participated in structured, age-appropriate activities focused on:

Sprint Mechanics & Running Biomechanics - Developing better running posture, arm action, stride coordination and efficient movement patterns.

Foot Strike & Ground Contact - Learning how to apply force effectively into the ground to support faster acceleration and running efficiency.

Acceleration & Explosive Speed - Improving first-step quickness, reaction speed and the ability to accelerate with greater control.

Agility & Change of Direction - Developing sharper turns, better deceleration, balance and the ability to change direction quickly.

Strength, Power & Coordination - Building foundational athletic qualities through age-appropriate drills, jumping exercises and movement challenges.

Reaction Time & Athletic Awareness - Using interactive challenges, games and competitive activities to improve focus, decision-making and movement reactions.

Every activity had a purpose. Every drill was designed to help our athletes develop skills they could take back into athletics, football, rugby, netball, basketball and many other sports.

Serious Development. Seriously Good Fun!

One of the highlights of our holiday camp was seeing young athletes challenge themselves while genuinely enjoying every session.

We combined professional sprint coaching with exciting games, team activities, relay challenges and friendly competitions.

Because we believe children learn best when they're engaged, motivated and having fun.

From athletes discovering sprint training for the first time to young competitors looking to gain an advantage in their chosen sport, everyone had opportunities to learn, participate and build confidence.

The smiles, laughter, teamwork and determination made this holiday camp truly special.

Coaching With Purpose - The Next Gen Sprints Difference

Our camp was led by Sarthak Bhambri, Olympian and Athletics Australia Level 3 Performance Coach, alongside Rahul Bhambri, Athletics Australia Level 2 Development Coach and ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Our coaching philosophy focuses on building strong athletic foundations rather than simply making children run laps.

We want young athletes to understand how to move well, develop confidence in their abilities and establish positive training habits that support their long-term development.

Whether the goal is performing better at Little Athletics, becoming faster on the football field or simply developing better fitness and coordination, our approach is built around purposeful coaching and progressive improvement.

Ready for the Upcoming Sporting Season!

With Term 4 approaching and school athletics and summer sporting competitions getting underway, our holiday camp provided a valuable opportunity for young athletes to sharpen their movement skills.

Over the camp, we worked towards helping children develop:

  • More efficient running technique and foot strike

  • Better acceleration and sprint coordination

  • Improved agility, balance and directional control

  • Stronger foundational movement skills

  • Greater confidence, teamwork and enjoyment of physical activity

While meaningful athletic development takes consistent training over time, we're proud of the effort, enthusiasm and progress demonstrated by our young athletes throughout the camp.

Capturing the Moments

On 30 September, we also welcomed a professional photography team to capture our athletes in action.

From explosive starts and agility challenges to teamwork and smiles, these photographs celebrate the energy and effort that made our camp so memorable.

These are more than just action shots - they're memories of young athletes challenging themselves, learning new skills and enjoying the journey.
